The Rome Fiumicino airport, (IATA: FCO) serves not only the Rome area but also part of the country for the number of international and intercontinental flights. During 2019, 43.5 million passengers passed through it. It is located 26 km northwest of Rome. (SEE MAP).
There are two hotels near the airport: Hello Sky is in front of the terminals, while the Hilton Rome Airport is connected by a covered walkway.
There are three terminals: Terminal 1 of Rome Fiumicino Airport (FCO) operates with domestic flights and some Schengen flights. Terminal 3 operates on domestic, Schengen and non-Schengen flights and handles flights from more than 70 airlines. Terminal 5 is closed for restoration. A free bus connects the terminals every 15 minutes.
The airport has restaurants, cafes and bars (some available 24 hours), as well as a wide variety of shops, including duty free, clothing and fashion, perfumeries, regional products, books and newspapers, electronics and telephony, among others. There are also money exchange offices, banking services, convenience stores, VIP lounges and services, postal services, luggage storage, travel agencies, pharmacies and a medical center.
